W&H – Electric High-Low Speed Motors
A number of W&H electric high/low speed motors may be integrated into the ASI dental delivery systems. These motors function similarly to air driven high speed connections, providing water spray, fiber optic illumination and chip air. The motors operate universal E style handpiece connections geared to provide equivalent speeds to high speed handpieces, but with additional torque that prevents stalling. The motors can be equipped with 1:1 ratios or reduction ratios to allow them to operate like a lowspeed handpiece. Due to their quiet operation, additional cutting torque and adjustability, many dentists find it very useful to include two motors on the delivery system. One motor is utilized as a high speed and the second as a low speed.

There are many popular endodontic rotary motors available for integration into ASI dental delivery systems. These motors are designed to operate endodontic rotary files. They include common features such as very low speed ranges and torque reverse functions.
Integration Considerations:
All models of Endodontic Rotary Motors with displays require full panel mounting for integration. They should be placed into one of the front panels to provide the best visibility and access to settings.

The J. Morita Root ZX3 provides a large easy to read screen. It features auto calibration, battery power indicator and auto power off (sleep mode) function to extend battery life. Integration of the Root ZX3 can be in either the left or right front panels. The file clip leads extend out the side of the cover. A side clip is provided for coiling and storing wire leads.
Other Models
Integration of other models of apex locators such as Denstsply ProMark Apex Locator, Brassler PAL, Sybron Elements or RootZX3 can be accomplished using a mounting bracket on the side of the cart or holder bar.

About Fiber Optics 5 Hole or 6 Pin Connections
ASI’S pneumatic connections are standard and accommodate handpieces made to ISO standards. The connection provides:
Drive Air – Air travels up the tubing to operate the turbine in high speed handpieces or the air motor in air-driven low speed handpieces.
Exhaust Air – As drive air leaves the turbine or air motor, it exhausts down this tubing and exits through the oil mist recovery jar.
Chip Air – An air stream which blows onto the cutting bur; assists in removing debris; aids in visibility and cutting while using a highspeed handpiece. Also used to atomize coolant spray. Not all air driven high speed handpieces are ported for chip air; verify this option for the brand of handpiece being used.
Coolant Spray – Allows water to flow up to high speed handpieces and to be sprayed onto the bur.
Blank Hole or Fiber Optic Connection – Non-operative, but allows the use of fiber optic handpiece in standard non-fiber optic connection. If tubing is fiber optic, it will have a bulb for 5-Hole connections or two sockets for 6-Pin fiber optic handpiece connections.
